The Mean Machine Band

has been in existence for a long time, has had several evolutionary versions, and has had as members Stanley Clarke, Grover Washington, Jr., Charles Fambrough, Odean Pope and many other fascinating personalities in the world of Modern Jazz.

In the past Mean Machine played for the USO in Europe and in war zones, and even recently played at several US military bases.

As the Band's personnel changed, so did its musical focus, and as such has played within enormous variety of styles and techniques - R & B, Latin, Light Jazz, Smooth Jazz, Modern Jazz, with many well known vocalists.

 

In its present version, the Mean Machine Band is: Andy Aaron - Trumpet, Clayton Pruden - Trombone, Billy Thorpe - Saxes, Luther Eubanks - Bass, Winston Gay - Guitar, and Lawrence Perry - Drums
