Darlene Kelsey, soprano, holds a Bachelor of Music in oboe performance and a Master of Music in voice performance from the Peabody Conservatory. While at Peabody, Darlene performed the roles of Lucy in The ThreePenny Opera, Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica, Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief, and Papagena in The Magic Flute.

Other recent roles include Countess Ceprano in La Musica Lirica’s production of Rigoleto, Gretel with Opera for the Young’s adaptation of Hansel and Gretel, Lauretta in La Musica Lirica’s production of Gianni Schicchi, Despina in The Three Little Pigs with the Florentine Opera Company, and Lebanu in the world premier of Super Double Lite.

In addition to opera, Darlene is a frequent recitalist throughout the Chicago area and has sung with the Chicago Symphony Chorus and Musicam Sacram.

New to the Philadelphia area, Darlene is currently a member of the voice faculty at Settlement Music School and performs with Vox Amadeus.

Matthew Zimnoch, Baritone

 

Matthew Zimnoch is a Philadelphia based singer, trombonist, arranger and composer. He has written several works performed locally, including a newly revised song cycle for Soprano, Flight of a Princess.

 

As a solo singer Mr. Zimnoch has performed with numerous choirs in the area with recent performances with the Amadeus Ensemble  at the Kimmel Center, The Germantown Oratorio Society and with the Sacred Music Concert Series of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Doylestown. In March 2007 he did a return engagement with the St Paul’s group in their performance of Haydn’s Creation. Matthew continues his vocal studies with Dr. Richard Johnson of Bryn Mawr, and is also the Music director for the Huntingdon Valley Presbyterian Church.
